Lovely, lovely. I am so lovely. Finishing the corn muffin she had charmed out of the new employee at a bakery, she tossed the wrapper in the trash can and trilled to clear her throat. Unfortuanetly her cute charm was fading, as she was growing older, but she'd likely have some money soon, so it wouldn't be needed. Yay, no more illegal food! It tasted so much better when it was paid for. Yes, she still remembered her old life, with her parents, before they sent her to public school. The very thought of it still made the Altaria shudder.
Lowering her peacock-like display of tail feathers, she squeezed the last drop of acne cream out of her bottle before throwing that in the trash bin too. Rubbing it in to the sickly white acne that was almost off her face, thank the gods, she continued down the road toward this laboratory that was supposed to be here. Kian wanted an avian friend. They were soft and feathered and way better than any cat or dog, in her eyes. Of course she didn't listen to everyone else's opinions. Only hers mattered to Kian nowadays. Little bratty teen soon-to-be-adult. Just don't let her hear you say that.
Striding down the street, bell bottoms swaying in the breeze she was making, she tipped her sun hat back so her vision wasn't shadowed. Yes, she was almost there. Another block or so, and then a corner, then the pathway up to that white building. Probably a mess inside, She sniffed at the thought. Her father had told her that laboratories were always a mess and that she should never allow her space to be like a laboratory. Therefore she was, more or less, pretty neat when it came to cleaning up.
Once at the door, she raised a blue-skinned hand and knocked lightly on the door three times before stepping back. She'd been taught to do that, whether or not it matters to you is your own business. Expanding her white wings to stretch them while she waited, the avian tapped her foot almost impatiently as she waited for the door to be opened. Key word would be almost impatiently, thank ye.

As the Altaria morph came down the road something else was going on in the nearby town. The girl of course probably wouldn't have any knowledge of this though. It seemed that two of the towns children had stumbled upon a small cavern. At the very moment their lives were at stake. No one could go down to them, because it was two steep and most of the towns pokemon were not big enough to carry them out. There was a panic, so of course the prof. of the region had ran out to help as best she could. There was only one left in the lab and that was a Xatu.
He was rather about to leave the place too to go help out when a light tap sounded on the lab door. Had the situation changed at all? He moved to the door using his psychic powers to open it quickly. That was when he saw the morph. He was confused. All the town's trainers, even new trainers trying to get their first pokemon where all back in town trying to help out. Was she not from around here? That was when the Xatu saw her rather nice wings. He smiled and walked forward spreading his own white wings.
<"Trainer! You are an Altaria morph correct? In the town just down the street two little kids were hurt and are in need of assistance. No one can reach them because they do not have wings. I can not do this alone, can you please assist me?"> Raza spoke straight to the girls mind through telekinesis. He hoped she would help him, otherwise those kids would most likely be doomed.

{{OOC: Sorry to keep you waiting, Nicole! School's got me busy.}}
What the hay? This Xatu was telling her to take care of someone else's problem? For Lugia's sake, what did this have to do with her? Seriously, she'd rather trim Entei's toenails than try to help these two doofus children that had gone and gotten themselves trapped somewhere some how. Of course, if she didn't it would probably mean no starter.
And that would irritate her even more than this request did.
So, being the ever so kind person that she was, Kian replied with a quick twitch of her tail feather for good measure. "Alright, I'll help. Where are they right now?" Ugh, the least the Xatu could've done was tell her where they were so she could just go. Honestly, she was edgy this morning, her feet and wings were sore, and she wanted to get a pokemon and scram. Cripes, was that so hard to do?
The soft down on her wings ruffled almost impatiently. Kian has been on the verge of having a meltdown all morning since this was taking so long. All the way from that pretty town she could've stayed in to here, only to be sent back out again to fetch some over adventurous children. Hrnph! Wasn't that the reason she ditched the orphanage?
... Well, no, actually.... She was going to be kicked out in a year anyway. But the younger children there had been grating on her nerves as well. She never did good deeds for them, they never did anything for her. The thought of that granny and those irritating youngsters made her temper flare. Though, it didn't really show- however the Xatu might've been picking up a bit of irritation and tidbits of memory, if he could to that, that was.

The Xatu was in fact picking up on the girl's emotions. It was kind of setting him off in a bad mood, but he didn't let it show. He was kind of a little skiddish when it came to these kind of situations. He himself was always kind to others because of his powers. Being able to read emotions in all, sort of helped when it came to that. He was always trying to help out whenever he could, but then again, he wasn't like everyone else.
He kind of backed away a bit at her negative emotions. They made him flinch just a tiny bit. He sighed though before looking back at the Altaria morph. <"You don't have to help miss. Just stay here and someone will be back eventually. "> he said. He didn't beg her to help and he wouldn't. She had a free choice. Just because she said she would that didn't mean she wanted to. Without another word he turned around and fluttered off. She could help him if she wanted. Or not.

Oh, but now she wanted to. What a confused, muddled up little princess mess she turned out to be.
Spreading her large white wings, of the angelic variety, she looked after the Xatu and beat them a little bit. A little more, and a little more. The pearly white feathers, glinting in the sun, were ruffled by a breeze and Kian was airborne, hissing at the wind for being against her but quite pleased with it all the same. With a few more flaps, she looked for the Xatu and quietly followed him.
The question that she kept having to throw into that metaphorical trash can that kept climbing back out was this. Why was she going to help the little children? Well, she wasn't being forced to. Maybe it was how she was raised? Well, yes, but her gentle-lady days were over. Parents! The mere thought of her kin made her sick.
Sick, I tell you.
So, it was definatly not that. It was because, well, this pokemon was a bird, and she herself was a bird. She had to help her fellow avians if she was to get anything at all in return from them, so this was precisely what she was doing. Helping another bird. Besides, who would want to camp out on the doorstep of a laboratory? She certainly did not! Besides, the town was beginning to bore her a bit already. She had figured, as she was flying after the Xatu of course, that she needed a little action. Maybe it would improve her view of this place.
Knowing Kian, however... It probably wouldn't. Not doing anything to really boost her opinion of humans either. But she didn't exactly care about her opinions at the moment- Kian just knew that she was to get on to her journey eventually, and perhaps if she ever returned she'd be in for a little excitement that didn't involve children.
Children. Little beasts, more like it.. Some of them, anyway.
