Unsure Beginnings

<sub>It had been early in the morning the other day when Faith first suggested that she should try becoming a pokemon trainer. At first Kait was totally against it, but Faith was good at being convincing, so Kait ended up changing her mind and had begun traveling towards Insei Town an the lab to start off her journey.

Of course though, there was always extreme downsides.For one, Faith had to be kept in her pokeball, as she would be so easily seen, being as large as she was, and attracting attention was the last thing Kait wanted, though she now felt cut off from her. Traveling also came with risk, and even occasion need to interact with other people, something she always had difficulties with. She had to go to a pokemon center to ask for directions to Insei Town. The Nurse Joy was kind and helped her, but no matter how nice people seemed, Kait still had difficulty with relaxing around others.

It took until about midday the next day to finally reach Insei Town, and now Kait was wondering if she was really so sure about this. Someone obviously lived here, and she wasn't looking forward to meeting them. Couldn't they just send her pokemon out to her? She pulled Faith's pokeball out from her bag and stared at it. <Just go inside.> The Milotic's thoughts creeped into her mind, and Kait jumped fearfully, dropping the pokeball and falling backward. "Don't do that!" Kait yelled. She got no response.

Still shaking, she got up and picked up Faith's pokeball and dropped it back into her bag. Looking up at the lab again, she sighed. I got this far. Might as well make it worth the trouble. She thought dolefully. She walked up the rest of the way to the door. Her hands rested on the handle for a moment, before finally turning and opening the door to come inside. Er... should I have knocked? She thought, a little too late as she was already standing inside with the door closed behind her. After a moment of silence, it didn't seem like anyone was around. "H-hello?" Kait called out into the lab.</sub>

The moment the girl says hello someone comes out to greet her. By dropping down from the ceiling suddenly. Starring up at the girl is a Mawile, A Mawile who looks like she has had to much coffee this morning with the way she is bouncing from one foot to the other. "Hi, Hi, Hi. Are you here for you first pokemon? I'm Zenza, it's nice to meet-ya". She smiles at the young new trainer and bounces over to the couch to wait for the girl to sit down and ask for what she wants. "List of available starters is here, here." She mention and she points to the coffee table, with oddly enough a Coffee mug of fresh coffee next to it on the table. Maybe the cup is for the guests if they want it. It is kinda late for coffee, but something to drink never hurts.

<sub>Kait didn't have to wait long to be seen. Almost immediately a Mawile had dropped from above. Kait nodded in response to the Mawile's question. "Er. Yeah. Pokemon. I'm Kaitlyn." She said, still a bit nervous, but she was beginning to calm down. She was expecting a human to be running this lab, but she wasn't too disappointed. The less human interaction she had to go through, the better, at least for her.

The Mawile then pointed out the list of pokemon they had available, which was on a coffee table. Kait looked through the list. A fire type would probably be good. Her Milotic was weak to grass type moves, and having something that could cover for that weakness would be good. The only fire types they had were Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Ponyta and Vulpix. Of the five pokemon, she was eying one in particular. "Can I see the Vulpix you have?" Kait asked the Mawile.</sub>

"Vulpixie, Yup, Yup. Be right back." The cheerful and somewhat hyper Mawile exclaims before bouncing into another room to gather to requested pokemon inside. After a few minutes five different Vulpix come scampering into the room.



The first Vulpix wanders up to the girl and blinks looking at her. This one is a lot smaller then the rest, maybe the runt of the litter. Runt might not be the right word here, Young might be a better word to describe the little fox. It shows how young it is when it speaks up in that, cute I can do no wrong baby talk. It also tries to Cuddle with the girl. By trying to hop up into her lap."Hewwo"


The second of the group walks over to the girl and looks at her, straight in the eyes. "Can I prove my existence through you? Do you wish for Blood?" Seems this vulpix is a bit of a sociopath or just likes blood.


The third Vulpix wanders over to the girl and smiles up at her, before speaking up in a voice that would make any sane person want to shove a pole thought there skull, just to make the annoying sound stop. Not to mention nails on a chalk board loud pitch as well. "HiiiIIIiiii" The kirby like greeting probably serving as an even bigger turn off.



The fourth Vulpix, a Female this time, moves forward to greet the girl. "Hello, Miss. How may I help you today?" Seems this one is a polite one if her speech is anything to go by.



The fifth one, a male this time. Speeds into the room and bounces around just like the Mawlie before it. Whats odd about this is the happy go lucky look on it's face as it laughs, and the fact that the ever so hyper Mawlie is riding around on it's back having just as much fun. It's speeding around the room with its passenger so fast that the girl is probably having a hard time getting a good
look at it. But once she did she would notice that it's fur is a lighter color then normal, almost a neon yellow color. "I'm a Birdy!!" It screams as it runs around the room. Not even caring about the Mawile riding on it. "WOOHOO! Faster Faster!" is coming from the Mawile just as loud, if not louder then the Vulpix's exclamation itself.

<sub>The mawile heeded her request, and disappeared into another room. After a few moments, the steel type pokemon returned, riding a golden colored Vulpix, with a few more Vulpix following them.

The first vulpix that approached her was a bit... childish. Cute, but she wasn't at all sure if she was ready to raise such a young pokemon yet. The second, well... she had no response for this one, so after a bit of awkward staring, she turned to the third. This one had a very high pitched voice, almost annoyingly so. It was a possibility, but she still wanted to see the others. The fourth was quite polite in her greeting and she seemed like a good choice. The fifth, the one the Mawile was riding seemed very free spirited, that was certain. It seemed a bit oblivious to it's rider though.

Her decision was a tie between the fourth and fifth vulpix. Go for the polite one, or the free spirited golden one? It was a hard pick. The golden one was very beautiful, but the other one looked like it would be a lot easier to train without attracting too much attention. After a moment of thought, she finally made her decision. "I'll take her." said Kait, pointing to the fourth vulpix.</sub>

The three normal Vulpix not picked, knowing what to do in this situation scamper off to play,nap,etc somewhere else. While the Mawile and the Shiny Vulpix continue to bounce around the room. totally oblivious to the girl at all. This causes the polite vulpix to let out a sigh of irritation, before dragging a large shoulder bag out of somewhere and dropping it at the girls feet, along with her pokeball. "Sorry about them. When those to get like that it's impossible to get there attention until they tire out. Anyway, Because they are on a suger high right now. I guess it falls to me to give you our new traveling stuff." The Vulpix gives the girls arms a longing look as she explains that stuff.

_{It seemed that the Mawile was too busy bouncing around with the other Vulpix to even listen to what she said. That was a tad... disheartening. What was she supposed to do? She kind of wanted to be out of here, but she needed her vulpix's pokeball at the very least. Fortunately though, her chosen vulpix seemed to be on the ball, getting her own pokeball herself, as well as some items. "Well, I guess we'll leave them to it. Lets go." said Kait, picking up the Vulpix, and heading out of the Lab. "Urm, Thanks Zenza!" Kait called from the door, before closing it behind her.}
